Terms of Service
These terms apply to the Matalaku mobile app and website ("Matalaku", "we", "us"), operated by Kumar Tagaram, Telangana, India. By creating an account or using Matalaku you agree to these terms.
1. Who can use Matalaku
- You must be at least 18 years old. Accounts of minors are removed.
- You must give true details (name, date of birth, gender). One person, one account.
2. The service
Matalaku lets members make paid one-to-one voice/video calls with hosts, join paid voice rooms run by hosts, start or join voice groups on a topic, ask an offline host to come online, send gifts and play games. Matalaku is a platform for conversation only. Hosts are independent users, not our employees.
3. Wallet, prices and billing
- Money added to the wallet is prepaid credit for use inside Matalaku only. It is not a bank account, earns no interest and cannot be transferred to another user.
- Coins. Your wallet balance is shown in the app as coins. Coins are a virtual in-app item: ₹1 buys 10 coins. Coins have no cash value, are not money or a payment instrument, and cannot be withdrawn, transferred to another person or exchanged for cash. They can only be used for calls, voice groups and gifts inside Matalaku.
- Calls are charged per started minute at the rate shown in the app (currently voice 60 coins/min, video 150 coins/min). Rates may change; the rate shown before a call applies to that call.
- If a call does not connect, the amount is automatically refunded to the wallet.
- Voice groups started by members: each new member gets a one-time welcome gift of free group minutes (currently 5 minutes). After that, being in a group costs the per-minute rate shown in the app (currently ₹1/min), for the person who started the group and for everyone in it. If your balance runs out you leave the group automatically.
- Offers and free minutes are promotional, may be changed or withdrawn at any time, and have no cash value.
- Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
4. Hosts
- Hosts earn the share of each paid minute shown in their dashboard. Earnings can be withdrawn to a bank account or UPI in the host's own name after the minimum amount.
- Tax (including TDS where applicable) is deducted as required by Indian law. A valid PAN is required for withdrawals.
- Earnings from calls or gifts obtained through fraud or rule-breaking may be reversed.
5. Rules of conduct
You must not:
- share or ask for nudity or sexual content, or do anything illegal;
- harass, threaten, abuse or discriminate against anyone;
- ask for or share phone numbers, UPI IDs, addresses or money outside the app;
- record, screenshot or share other people's calls without consent;
- create fake accounts, impersonate others, or misuse offers, free calls or free group minutes;
- use offensive, sexual or misleading group names or topics, or use groups to share contact details;
- send repeated or unwanted "come online" requests to hosts, or use them to harass anyone.
We may warn, suspend or permanently ban accounts that break these rules. Wallet balance of accounts banned for serious violations may be forfeited where the law allows.
5A. Voice groups and host requests
- The person who starts a group can remove members. Anyone in a group can report and block another member. We may close any group, room or account that breaks these terms.
- Groups and rooms are live and are not recorded.
- "Ask to come online" sends the host a notification. You can send it to the same host at most once every 30 minutes. Hosts decide freely whether and when to come online; a request does not guarantee a call.
6. Reporting
Use Report / Block in the app, or email support@matalaku.in. We review reports and act as quickly as we can.
7. Availability
We try to keep Matalaku running but calls depend on internet networks. We are not liable for interruptions beyond our control. Failed calls are refunded to the wallet.
8. Liability
To the extent allowed by law, Matalaku is provided "as is". Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid to Matalaku in the 3 months before the claim.
9. Ending your account
You can delete your account in the app (Profile → Account settings → Delete account). We may close accounts that break these terms.
10. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Telangana have jurisdiction. Please contact us first — most issues can be solved quickly.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms.
12. Grievance officer
