Host Terms
Last updated: 29 September 2026
These terms apply if you take calls on Matalaku as a host and earn money from them. They are in addition to our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. By going online as a host you agree to them.
1. Who can be a host
- You must be 18 or older and live in India.
- You use your own account only. Hosting on someone else’s account, or letting someone else use yours, is not allowed.
- We review and verify every host before they can take calls, and we may ask for a fresh photo or ID at any time.
2. What you do
- You choose when you are online and whether you take voice calls, video calls or both.
- You have friendly, respectful conversations with callers and follow the Community Guidelines in every call.
- You can end any call at any time and block or report anyone who makes you uncomfortable. You never have to do anything you do not want to do.
- When you are offline, callers can send you a "come online" request and you may get a notification. You are never required to respond, and you can turn notifications off in your phone settings.
3. Earnings
- You earn a share of what callers pay for the minutes they spend talking to you. The current share and call rates are shown in the host dashboard in the app and may change; we tell you in the app before a change applies.
- Earnings from calls that break the rules, fake calls, or calls made to cheat the system are removed.
- If a caller gets a refund because a call was abusive or did not happen properly, the matching earnings may be removed.
4. Withdrawals and tax
- You can withdraw once your balance reaches the minimum shown in the app, to your own bank account or UPI ID.
- Your PAN is required. The account name must match the name on your PAN; we do not pay to anyone else’s account.
- TDS is deducted as required by Indian income-tax law and shown before you confirm a withdrawal.
- Withdrawals are usually processed within a few working days. We may hold a withdrawal while we check a report or suspected fraud.
5. Rules for hosts
- No sexual content or talk, no nudity and no inappropriate clothing on camera.
- Do not ask callers for money, gifts, recharges or contact details, and do not share yours.
- Do not record or share calls, or ask callers to move to another app.
- Do not keep callers on a call by lying or pressuring them.
6. Your relationship with Matalaku
You are an independent user of the platform, not an employee, partner or agent of Matalaku. You are free to host on other platforms. You are responsible for any tax on your income beyond the TDS we deduct.
7. Suspension and leaving
- We may warn, pause or remove a host who breaks these terms or the Community Guidelines, or when needed for safety or legal reasons. Verified earnings from genuine calls are still paid unless they are linked to fraud or a serious violation.
- You can stop hosting at any time by going offline, or delete your account from Settings. Withdraw your balance before you delete your account.
