Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: 29 September 2026
Short version: failed calls are refunded to your wallet automatically. If money was debited from your bank but not added to your wallet, it is added or refunded to your bank within 5–7 working days.
1. Wallet recharges
- A recharge buys prepaid credit to use in Matalaku. Once added, wallet balance is generally not refundable to your bank.
- If you recharged by mistake and have not used any of it, email us within 7 days with the payment ID. We will refund it to the original payment method.
- Bonus/offer credit and free minutes are not refundable.
2. Money debited but not added to wallet
This can happen if the internet drops during payment. Open the Wallet screen again — Matalaku checks with Google Play and adds the money automatically. If it is still missing after 24 hours, email us with the payment ID. If a payment failed, your bank reverses it automatically, usually within 5–7 working days.
3. Calls
- If a call does not connect, the amount charged for it is refunded to your wallet automatically.
- Calls are billed per started minute. Completed minutes are not refundable.
- If a host behaved badly, report the call from the app (Help → Call problem). We review each report and may credit your wallet.
4. Cancellation
There are no subscriptions to cancel. You can stop using Matalaku or delete your account at any time.
5. How refunds are paid
Approved refunds go back to the original payment method through Google Play (or Razorpay for website payments) within 5–7 working days. You can also request a refund for a Google Play purchase from Google Play directly. Wallet credits are instant.
